LA: Solidarity Mural

As part of the LA vs Hate program, we are issuing a series of grants to empower local organizers to leverage the power of the arts to confront and heal from the trauma of hate.

The first of these partnerships was designed to uplift youth voices in the face of increasing division and violence is between the Black and Asian communities, and within a climate of anti-Asian hate triggered by the rhetoric surrounding the pandemic.

Over the course of 3 months, more than 20 youth from across the County were engaged in a cross-cultural collaboration culminating in a mural at The Asian American Drug Abuse Program Center in South LA.
